Friday by Robert A. Heinlein

I recently visited Toronto to see Canada Reads live, which was amazing. But wait! There’s more!

Because there are never too many books for a book nerd, we also went to as many bookstores as we could manage. I picked up this shining beauty at BMV books on Yonge, which seems to be a neat combination of remaindered and used books. I’ll have you know I showed incredible restraint and only bought a single volume: Friday, by Robert A. Heinlein. Heinlein has a special place in my heart as the very first science fiction author I ever read – although my father gave me Have Space Suit Will Travel instead, and put Friday off limits until I turned eighteen. It might have something to do with the fact that his edition looked like this:
