The Golden House by Salman Rushdie

I made a decision / drastic mistake, which was that I signed up for NetGalley and immediately requested a ton of ARCs. Including The Golden House by Salman Rushdie. I’ve only ever read one Rushdie before, and I liked it a middling amount, but this new novel sounds too good / too politically and socially relevant to pass up: a real estate mogul and his sons assume semi-new and -fake identities, and end up becoming the film project of their next door neighbour.

I’m game to read it. I’m just not sure requesting an ARC was the best idea, especially since I usually review Canadian fiction. But here we are! Everything is fine.
